The Transit Number also referred to as the Transit Routing Number or ABA Routing Number, is a nine-digit code used to identify a particular bank or financial institution.
The Transit Number is made up of three parts:
Institution Number (3 digits): Identifies the bank or financial institution.
Branch Number (5 digits): Identifies the specific branch of the bank.
Account Number (7 digits): This represents your personal account number at the branch.
