A joint bank account is a bank account shared by two or more individuals, allowing all account holders to manage funds together. Joint accounts are commonly used by partners or family members to manage shared expenses, savings, or financial responsibilities.
If you wish to use a joint bank account on your account, additional verification may be required to confirm ownership of the account.
What information is required for your joint bank account to be approved?
Please provide a photo or screenshot of one of the following documents:
- Bank book / Bank statement
- Screenshot from your banking app
- Screenshot from your web banking portal
The document must clearly display all of the following information:
- IBAN
- Full names of both account holders
- Bank name, logo, or SWIFT/BIC
Important Notes
Some banks in Belgium may display account holder names incompletely on bank documents, showing only initials instead of full first names.
Documents showing initials only will not be accepted by our verification team. We require a document where the full names of both account holders are clearly displayed.
If your bank only provides documents with initials, please contact your bank directly and request an official document confirming that the account is jointly managed by both account holders and includes:
- Full names of both account holders
- IBAN
- Bank name and/or SWIFT/BIC
